Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
The Label Shoppe is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the standard recommended by the U.S. Department of Justice and adopted by most accessibility-conscious organizations.
What we’ve done
We’ve designed and built thelabelshoppe.com with accessibility in mind, including:
- Page titles — descriptive titles that identify each page's topic
- Alt text on images — descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
- Color contrast — text and interface colors reviewed for WCAG AA contrast
- Semantic headings — structured headings on our core page templates
- Multiple ways to navigate — header navigation, footer links, plus phone and email contact
- Form labels — our Contact and Quote forms use visible labels and instructions
- Responsive design — content adapts to screen sizes from desktop to mobile
- Plain language — we write in clear, direct prose; we avoid jargon where possible
What’s still being improved
Web accessibility is an ongoing process. We continue to:
- Keyboard navigation, visible focus order, and screen-reader behavior (VoiceOver, NVDA) across all pages and interactive components
- Skip-to-content links and a main landmark on every page template
- Heading structure on resource articles and consistent navigation across every page
- Form validation and error messaging, plus regular WCAG 2.1 AA audits and addressing issues visitors report
We have not yet completed a third-party accessibility audit. We plan to commission one as our website matures and will publish the results when complete.
Known limitations
- PDF documents — historical PDFs we link to may not be fully accessible. Contact us if you need a particular document in an alternative format.
- Third-party content — embedded forms, videos, or widgets from third-party providers may not meet our accessibility standards. We work with vendors who prioritize accessibility wherever possible.
- Customer-uploaded content — when customers upload artwork or assets to our quote system, those files may not be accessible. We can provide alternative formats on request.
